We at Runamuck believe that every grooming experience should be pleasant and stress-free.  This is possible with all of our canine friends if they are started early and brushed regularly at home.  This said, old dogs can learn new tricks but it usually takes more time to get to a point where they actually enjoy it.  Tips for home care:

• Brush your dog regularly (every other day is best)    
• Brush the legs, feet, and tummy-not just his/her back
• Massage the feet even if he/she doesn't like it. Over time he/she will become used to it
• Crate train your dog. Get him/her used to a small space. This reduces stress when he/she is in a foreign place.

    When it is time to come to the groomer, your pooch will be ready, and everyone can have a stress-free day, including the groomer.

    When we schedule for grooming, we try to arrange the time to best meet you and your pet's schedule.  The grooming starts shortly after your drop-off time. We call you as soon as the job is complete to minimize the time your dog is here.
